Government of Chhattisgarh Giving relief to the farmers, a provision of Rs 5,703 crore was made in the state budget presented by the government in 2021, through which the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana 2021 was started in the state. In this government scheme, farmers will be given grant amount in 4 installments on their paddy and maize crops per acre. Every farmer will be given Rs 30,000 annually (Rs 7500 in each installment). Important information Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has deposited an amount of 1500 crores in the accounts of 21 lakh farmers. This is the third installment to be given under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. The third installment has been paid by the Chief Minister on 1 November 2021. Under this scheme, Rs 5,703 crore is to be given to the farmers in 4 installments.
It was started on 20th May 2021, the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi and farmers were paid Rs 1525 crore 97 lakh as the first installment in their account. On 20 August 2021, on the occasion of birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi, an amount of Rs 1522 crore 3 lakh was transferred to the farmers in their bank accounts as the second installment under the scheme.

Registration of farmers for Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana
Purpose of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana
The main objective of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana is to encourage farmers for crop production in the state.
- Increase in crop cover, production and productivity.
- To increase the net income of the farmers by reimbursing the card cost of the crop.
- Incentives to farmers to invest more in agriculture.
- Increasing the participation of the agriculture sector in GDP by restoring agriculture as a profitable business.
Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana (RGKNY), the state government will provide input amount to more than 21 lakh farmers in the state, which will be directly deposited in the bank accounts of farmers through DBT.

How to register / apply for the scheme
All the categories of farmers planting crops covered under the scheme will have to register within the prescribed time-limit by filling the information in the application form, along with necessary records and declaration form. The land and crop area mentioned in the application will have to be registered with the cooperative society after getting the verification done by the field staff of the Agriculture / Revenue Department.
Only those farmers will get the benefit of the scheme, who get their registration done under the scheme within the stipulated time frame. The time limit fixed by the state government to register under the Kisan Nyay Yojana is as follows.
For Kharif crops: 1 June to 30 September (for Kharif)
For sugarcane growers: Every year till 30 September. Farmers growing sugarcane are required to get themselves registered in the cooperative sugar factory or departmental portal in their notified area by 30 September every year.
The registered acreage will be verified by the Rural Agricultural Extension Officer and Patwari by girdawari. In case of discrepancy in the registered acreage, the input assistance amount will be paid by estimating the actual acreage sown by the farmer. While determining the eligibility under the scheme, the provisions of the Agricultural Land Ceiling Act should be kept in mind.
The farmers who do not have Aadhar number will be registered for the scheme by taking action to get the Aadhar registration done.
Chhattisgarh Kisan Nyay Yojana – Payment of input amount
For the crops covered under the Kisan Nyay Yojana, the input assistance amount will be paid in installments through DBT in the account of farmers at the rate of fixed amount per acre. If paddy crop was planted by the beneficiary farmer last year and this year in place of paddy, other crops included under the scheme are planted, then in that case additional input assistance will be provided to the farmers per acre.
The amount of input assistance given under the scheme will be determined every year by the Cabinet Committee. If there is an error in the bank account details of the farmers, the Deputy Director of Agriculture will ensure the process of transfer of funds by getting the bank details again from the concerned farmer within 15 days by correcting the error in the portal.
