Jharkhand Birsa Harit Gram Yojana 2021 under MGNREGA | Birsa Green Village Scheme complete information


Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has launched 3 employment schemes for six lakh migrant laborers who had returned to the state. The name of 3 schemes are Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana and Nilamber Pitamber Jal Samridhi Yojana. Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana, Nilambar-Pitamber Jal Samridhi Yojana aims to revive rural economy which has been hit badly by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown.

The decision to launch 3 rural employment schemes comes after stranded migrants returned to the state. All the 3 schemes will be run by the rural development department under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) Scheme. People can now check the complete details of the 3 rural employment schemes launched by the Jharkhand government to benefit migrant workers.

Besides offering jobs to rural population, all these schemes are devised keeping the long term goals of sustainable development and creating new assets in the state. The government is committed towards welfare of its citizens, especially the vulnerable ST / SC communities, women workforce in rural areas and economically backward households. Birsa Harit Gram Yojana

The Jharkhand Birsa Harit Gram Yojana aims to use over 2 lakh acres of unused government fallow land for afforestation. Around 5 lakh families will be given nearly 100 fruit baring plants and the initial plantation, maintenance, land work and afforestation works will be taken up through MGNREGA. Over 5 crore fruit bearing plants are expected to be planted in the next few months.

The USP of this scheme is that the person engaged in planting such trees and taking its care will be reaping the benefits of the produce.We will work to develop market linkages for them. Each family is estimated to receive an annual income of Rs. 50,000 every year. The ownership of the land however will remain with the government.

Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana

Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana will link sports with rural job schemes for creation of assets in rural areas to provide boost to the sports. Around 5,000 sports grounds are being planned to set up with one in each of the 4,300 panchayats.

Nilamber Pitamber Jal Samridhi Yojana

The Jharkhand Nilamber Pitamber Jal Samridhi Yojana is aimed at water conservation, ground water recharging, creation of agro water storage units to store rainwater and runaway ground water. All the districts which faces perennial water problems such as Palamu will benefit the most.

All the 3 rural employment schemes for jobless migrants are tailor made using the state’s resources and integrating a few central MGNREGA schemes.

Jharkhand Birsa Harit Gram Yojana

This year, Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, Nilambar-Pitamber Jal Samridhi Yojana, Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana and Didi-Bari Yojana have been started under MGNREGA.

Jharkhand Birsa Harit Gram Yojana 2021 in Budget

Under Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, against the target of 20,000 acres, mango and mixed horticulture work has been done in 26,000 acres. A target has been set to get this work done on 25,000 acres of land in the financial year 2021-22.

Nilambar Pitambar Jal Samridhi Yojana 2021 in Budget

Under the Nilambar Pitambar Jal Samridhi Yojana, 1,12,094 hectares of land have been treated against the target of 1 lakh hectares. Treatment of about 98,065 hectares of land is in progress. In the year 2021-22, a target has been set to treat 1 lakh hectares of land.

For the financial year 2021-22, 1,100 lakh man-days will be created by the state under MGNREGA scheme, according to which the amount of the proposed budget will be Rs.
